Cara Sake is a research scientist at the Ellison Institute. In her role, she develops experimental and analytical methods for metabolic profiling of blood samples to address pressing scientific challenges concerning human health and exposure.
Dr. Sake received her bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering with a Biochemical Engineering specialty from Auburn University. She then went on to earn her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, where her thesis centered on systems biology and metabolic engineering.
Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, gardening, and learning something new.
