Gavin is a staff member who joined the Ellison Institute for two years as an undergraduate researcher with the Lee Lab before graduating Salutatorian from USC with his B.S. in Biomedical Engineering with a Chemical Engineering emphasis and a minor in Physics as well as his Master's in Mechanical Engineering. He was studying the biophysical adaptations of metastatic cancer cells on an artificial extra-cellular matrix with precisely tunable mechanical and physical properties. He now works with the Clinical Trials team on various projects while continuing to volunteer with the Lee Lab. His ultimate aspiration is to become a Physician-Scientist. Gavin is an experienced EMT who also serves as the founder and president of a nonprofit dedicated to preventing vaccine hesitancy and amplifying vaccine availability.
