Jason Bowman is the Chief Financial Officer for the Ellison Institute. He continues his passion for growing healthcare organizations by leading the finance, accounting, and procurement teams. Prior to the Ellison Institute, Jason was COO of GE Ventures, where he led business operations and was the Director of Finance for the portfolio of incubated startups. He was responsible for leading strategic projects, future of work and innovation initiatives, as well as day to day operations. By balancing his time between the controlled chaos of startups and the operational rigor of GE, Jason was able to leverage a dualistic perspective to grow companies at various stages. He worked directly with the New Business Creation team, and was responsible for launching the companies as well as implementing the financial and operational infrastructure of the startup companies (Vineti, Menlo Micro, Drawbridge Health, Avitas Systems, AiRXOS).

Before GE Ventures, Jason held various roles within GE Healthcare. He served as Finance Manager of GE Healthcare’s Cloud & Analytics business. Prior to this, he helped lead the acquisition and integration of CHCA Computer Systems and was the finance lead for Global High Acuity Care and Perinatal Businesses. He joined GE in 2007 as a member of the Financial Management Program.

Jason has previously served as Board Observer for Drawbridge Health (’16-’20) and AiRXOS, a GE Venture (’17-’19).
