As the Registered Dietitian at the Ellison Institute, Kate Cohen counsels patients one-on-one using the most current evidence-based recommendations, in order to use nutrition and lifestyle modifications to help meet health goals. She is also collaborating on creating innovative resources on food, health, and exercise to empower the Institute's patient population. As a former inpatient Dietitian at Providence St. John’s Health Center and Keck Hospital of USC, she has experience assessing nutritional deficiencies in a wide range of health conditions, and using a food-based approach to management.
Kate earned her undergraduate degree at NYU and a Master's in Nutritional Science from CSULA where she was a University Scholar. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, paddle boarding, and is always testing out new cookbooks.
