Seungil Kim is the Manager, Imaging and Assay Development at the Ellison Institute of Technology, where he is studying the tumor microenvironment interactions using colorectal cancer patient-derived 3D organoids. Dr. Kim also leads the Institute’s microscopy team, overseeing microscopy equipment usage and working to establish imaging based high-content drug screening platforms.

Dr. Kim earned his PhD in Developmental, Regenerative and Stem Cell Biology from Washington University in St. Louis. He completed his postdoc at UCSF in the Cell & Tissue Biology department. Outside of work, Dr. Kim enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons at parks, playgrounds, and beaches.
